Southern Cross Young Achiever Awards are being held this Saturday 9th April 2011 at Wrest Point Casino Hobart.

Congratulations to Lisa Tedeschi! Finalist in 2 of the 9 categories. There are a total of only 28 finalists in the 9 categories to be presented selected from hundreds of nominations representing the best achievements of young Tasmanians aged between 14 to 28 years of age.

Lisa is a finalist in the Camerons' Leadership and Innovation Award and the O Group Trade and Enterprise Achievement Award.

O Group Trade and Enterprise Achievement Award
Increasingly, the Tasmanian community is prospering from the flow-on economic benefits of inspiring young Tasmanians. Tasmania’s future rests with our young innovators. It is their ideas and how they develop a passion for the State that will make a difference. These young Tasmanians are entering their trade, career or enterprise with passion and vitality. Whether it is climbing the corporate ladder, progressing from apprentice to workshop manager, or starting their own business employing fellow young Tasmanians, our young people are “having a go” in Tasmania. The O Group Career & Enterprise Achievement Award recognises active leadership and a desire for self-improvement, and rewards a young Tasmanian who has made their own opportunities for success.

Camerons' Leadership and Innovation Award
Tenacity, dedication, selflessness, leadership and innovative thinking are the key qualities of those amazing individuals who are the “driving force” in their community. These individuals are at the forefront of community contribution in their field of endeavour.
They may have overcome significant difficulty, adversity or hardship to achieve excellent outcomes and raise pride in the community and our state. They may have pioneered significant changes in their community, business or organisation that have altered the way people think and perform for the better.
